Makeup and Hairstyling for Lifestyle, Fashion and Beauty
As a Las Vegas Makeup Artist, and Glamour Specialist for many years, editorial and especially fashion assignments are something I have always loved working on.
Creating a Mood or Vibe
Doing makeup and hair for editorial assignments is always exciting. It is about creating a mood or a feeling
Its not about the Money
There is no hard sell of products and the budgets are almost always on the smaller side
It is what being an artist is all about.
Part of the Team
You know your work will be published. And you will be be working with others that are doing it, not because of the money but because of a love for the work and creativity.
Loving the creativity of Editorial Work
Editorial work is usually freer and allows more creativity. It is story telling and where most of my more creative portfolio images over the years have come from.
Working with other creatives
doing editorial work for magazines has given me the opportunity to work with excellent photographers, models and art directors. Working with talented people always brings out the best.
Always nice to see the finished product
Seeing the images beautifully laid out and well printed is always very rewarding. Seeing the finished story and knowing all that went into creating it and what was involved and being a part of it, is with you forever.
Collaborations
I am especially interested in collaborating on lifestyle-fashion-beauty shoots with promising new models, photographers, stylists, producers and art directors.
Pro Bono Work
I won’t normally work for free, however I will donate my Hair and Makeup services to reputable charities that I support or projects that excite me.
Tell me about your Project
If you need a makeup artist for lifestyle, fashion, beauty or other editorial projects and think I would be a good fit, give me all the details including your budget no matter the size, and lets see what we can work out together.
Makeup and Hair for Commercials and Advertising
There is a lot of advertising that is every bit as interesting and creative as editorial work. When doing ads, catalogs, or brochures for print or websites I evaluate the specific needs for the job, the scheduling and amount of time involved and the number of subjects.
I also need to consider what type(s) of makeup and hair looks and styles are needed. From this I also take into consideration who the client is and if we have worked together before. I always give special consideration to multi-day bookings and clients that I have a history with.
